How to Remove a Resident from a Location
There will be instances where a property needs a resident removed from their location. This document outlines how they can accomplish this through Building Manager and how it can be done by our Support teams in Admin.
Admin/Building Manager
Property Team: Remove a Resident
** These instructions can be followed internally OR by a property manager with access to their House Account login in Building Manager **
Navigate to the “Recipients” tab on the Location’s Building Manager portal
Click on the Resident's First Name
Select No Longer Recipient from the dropdown
Click on Update
Go to Admin
Click on Locations
Search by Property Name or Location ID
Select the Location
Click on Users
Search for and Select the User
Click on the wrench next to their Location
Click on Edit
Select No Longer Resident from Status dropdown
Click on Save

Automatic integration with a property management software is always preferred to manually managing residents
If a Location is integrated, residents should not be removed manually in the ways described in this document
Integration can be confirmed by the presence of a Feed Number on the left side of the Location’s Admin page:
