Enabling Temporary Access Codes for a location with a package room
Introduction
This document will cover how to enable Temporary Access Codes for properties that have a Package Room system. These allow a resident to request a one-time use code to be able to enter the package room without a pickup code, in case they need to search for a package that was left without being scanned.
Systems and Permissions Needed
Admin
Flow Chart
Step-By-Step
Go to Admin
Click on Locations
Search by Property Name or Location ID
Select the Location
Click on Edit
Check Requires Property Manager Approval
Check Enable for Mobile and Kiosk Apps under Temporary Access Code for Rooms & Shared Lockers
Check Enable for Automation (Chatbot, IVR) under Temporary Access Code for Rooms & Shared Lockers
Click on Save
Click on Resync Firebase

Additional Education for Property Teams
Manager Approval setting must also be enabled for the temporary access code feature to be enabled.
Best Practices
Property staff MUST approve/request this update and should not be activated without their approval and knowledge.
