Power Cycling Your Luxer One Lockers

Power Cycling Your Luxer One Lockers

Occasionally a system will lose the internet connection and be unable to notify residents about packages, or a component will go offline.  One of the easiest ways to troubleshoot this is to power cycle your lockers.  If you have the ability, we recommend trying this troubleshooting step as the first thing to do when

What can Power Cycling Fix?

  1. Lost internet connections
  2. Residents not receiving notifications of access codes
  3. Deliveries not showing up in Building Manager
  4. An entire Locker Bank not opening doors

Symptoms of a system losing internet connection
Deliveries can still be made into the system if the internet connection is lost.  However, residents will not be notified, and Building Manager will not show the new deliveries.  If you see this behavior, you can assume that the system has lost its internet connection.

Necessary items:
  1. Manager pin
  2. Combo lock combination or iPad Panel access key (depending upon locker generation)

Power Cycle Steps

  1. Log into the manager screen on the iPad using the manager pin.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the list of lockers on the left, and tap on “Screen”
  3. Select “open locker” on the right
    1. **If the bay does not open, use the combination to remove the lock at the top of the locker bank, and pull up on the red lever**
  4. In the back of this locker, there will be a black box with a green light on it, and various cables plugged in, hold down the green button until it turns off.
  5. Leave that off for 30 seconds, and power it back on
At this point, the system should start rebooting. Please allow up to 5 minutes for all parts of the system to report in before testing the system again.

Things to Avoid

  1. Please do not unplug any cables, or change where a cable is plugged in.  Changing wiring can have negative effects on the system setup, and could make matters worse.
