How to Add One or More Units to a Location

Introduction

There will be instances where a property needs a unit added to its location or an entire list of units. This document will demonstrate how to accomplish this in multiple ways: adding units one at a time, adding multiple units in bulk, and demonstrating how a property manager can add a unit themselves.

Best Practices

  • Use abbreviations in Street Addresses:

    • EX: “St” not “Street”

    • EX: “S” not “South”

    • EX: “Blvd” not “Boulevard”

Conclusion

This document has covered multiple ways to add units to a property’s system. In cases where there is not a large number of units to be added, the property team should be directed on the process to complete the additions themselves through their Building Manager portal to save them time and empower them.
